Bette Midler’s birth chart shows she was always meant to be a rebel
Bette Midler was born on December 1, 1945. This makes her a spicy Sagittarius Sun with an intuitive Scorpio Moon with a fiery Aries Ascendant. She and I haven’t crossed paths just yet (get at me!), but I can still see a lot from her birth information that I’ve tracked down. When it comes to elemental energy that composes her, she is heavily built by Fire and Air. This is what brings her so much intensity in passion, creativity, expression and communication.
When looking at her birth chart, many key themes pop up. When looking at her astrological aspects, we can see that first and foremost, she was always built with intensity across the board. Her Sun, ruling her life, and her Moon, tied to her inner emotional world and soul, both link exactly to Pluto, the planet of dominance and power. She has always strived to be recognized and admired, with a forceful ability to command. She has incredible levels of sensitivity and emotional awareness, and because of situations that likely took place early in childhood with family and her parents, she has used this to propel her to greatness. So while these initial factors don’t guarantee success, they do show that she has consistently strived for rebirth and transformation in her lifetime to ascend to the greatest levels.
Yet, she also is blessed with some remarkably lucky alignments in her birth chart, too, that do reveal she was destined to leave her mark on the world. Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion, stands opposite her Ascendant, bringing her excellent executive abilities and tremendous favor with the public.
Her Jupiter then links to Saturn, the planet of perseverance and strength, increasing her ambition. Then, with her Ascendant, tied to her physical body and identity, also receiving a ton of attention from multiple other planets, too, like Mercury, her Sun, Saturn, Uranus and Pluto, she provides tremendous memorable impact simply by exerting her will, speaking her mind and following her impulses.
The next major theme that runs through her birth chart is that she was born to break convention and pursue progressive ideas and plans. She is a natural rebel, fighting for originality in who she is, what she creates and those she supports. This is because her Sun is exactly opposite Uranus, the planet of eccentricity and the future.
Uranus is one of the most significant planets in her birth chart because it is so heavily active. It is linked to her Ascendant as I previously mentioned, bringing her unique beauty, as well as a shocking demeanor and presentation of herself. It also dances with Pluto and Uranus, too. She is inventive and a true contemporary who works for the betterment and transformation of society as a whole.
To further empower this within her, her Neptune, the planet of imagination and Hollywood, kisses Pluto, meaning that she is energetically attuned to the unconscious energies of the human collective—a visionary.
Oh, and if you’re wondering about all that feisty banter, wit and humor, obviously that’s there, too. Her fiery confidence and active and decisive personality exist because of how her Sun dances with Mars, the planet of courage and war. Her Moon also cackles with Mars, bringing her an impulsive nature. And then with her Mercury, the planet of the mind and communication, getting wild with Uranus, she is one of the spiciest icons around!
