Gerald Ford Bio

Gerald Rudolph Ford Jr (born Leslie Lynch King Jr; July 14, 1913 - December 26, 2006) was an American politician who served as the 38th President of the United States from 1974 to 1977. Prior to that, he was the 40th Vice-President of the United States, from 1973 until the resignation of President Richard Nixon in 1974. He was the first Vice Presidential appointee under the 25th Amendment, following the resignation of Vice President Spiro Agnew on October 10, 1973. He became President following Richard Nixon's departure on August 9, 1974, and claims the distinction of being the first and, to date, only person to have served as both Vice President and President of the United States without having been elected to either office. Before becoming Vice President, Ford spent 25 years representing Michigan's 5th Congressional District, the last nine as House Minority Leader. As President, Ford signs the Helsinki Accords, marking a turning point toward détente in the Cold War. The conquest of South Vietnam by North Vietnam, nine months into his presidency, ended U.S. involvement in Vietnam. Domestically, Ford presided over the worst economy in the four decades following the Great Depression, with rising inflation and recession during his tenure. One of his most controversial acts was to grant a presidential pardon to President Richard Nixon for his role in the Watergate scandal. Foreign policy under Ford's presidency was characterized, in procedural terms, by the increased role Congress began to play and the corresponding limitation of the president's powers. In the 1976 Republican presidential primary campaign, Ford defeated former California governor Ronald Reagan for the Republican nomination. On November 2, he narrowly lost the presidential election to his Democratic opponent, Jimmy Carter, then former governor of Georgia. After his years as president, Mr. Ford remained active in the Republican Party. After experiencing health problems, he died at his home on December 26, 2006. Ford lived longer than any other American president, 93 years and 165 days, while his 895-day presidency remains the shortest of any president who did not die in office. He is also the most recently deceased former president and vice-president.

Read on to discover how the planetary forces align to determine Gerald Ford’s creative genius, career ambitions, remarkable achievements, wisdom, and wit.

Sun in Cancer 21°12

Cancer is ruled by the Moon, which gives people born under this sign great emotional sensitivity. They are therefore often reserved and shy. Their reasoning, thinking and behavior depend very much on their mood, which is why they like to lean on people with strong personalities and choose partners they can rely on.

These people love their home, their parents and their family, but their romantic dreams and mood swings are responsible for the fact that, despite their inner shyness, they can't remain faithful to their beloved partner. It's not their fault, and they're not trying to be mean, it's their Moon-influenced character that causes emotional ambivalence to be reflected in their relationships. They are the ones who suffer the most, and they like to enrich their souls with new suffering.

People born under the sign of Cancer are often very artistic, and many of them know how to communicate their rich emotional signals with a paintbrush, through speech or song. Although they're thought to be easily influenced by others, they actually influence those around them and enrich others with their charming emotional personalities.

When you consider their characteristics, they may seem impractical in life, but in reality, when it comes to money and standard of living, they know how to secure it, and their behavior shows a sense of reality. They can get what they want and secure a comfortable life for themselves and their family, because a pleasant, comfortable home and the family's well-being are very important to their sensitive minds and restlessness.

They are peaceful and shy, but they are also highly intelligent and clever, which enables them to increase the value of accumulated experience. This means that if they ever discover that their shyness elicits sympathy and willingness to comply with their wishes, they know how to imitate this personal characteristic, as acting is also one of their artistic talents.

Rather than anger, their repertoire consists of lamentations and regrets; and rather than aggression, they will displaya pleasant helplessness. In essence, they're introverts who don't like attracting the attention of others, but that's what makes them all the more fascinating.

Moon in Sagittarius 3°55'

Your greatest need is to always be looking for something. To feel secure, you need a philosophy or belief. You must have a purpose or mission that gives meaning to your life. Your faith must be voluntary, and it's a paradox that fighting dogmas can lead you to other dogmas. You also need activity, whether it's travel or sports. Your love of horses, dogs or other animals is also important. You have an optimistic approach to life and believe that things will get better even if you have problems. You may have a playful nature and need to take risks when you want to achieve something. Your innate spontaneity and open-mindedness are very refreshing to the people around you. You can be full of optimism in the company of others, but when you're alone, you can sometimes feel empty.

Ascendant in Taurus 13°10'

Ascendant (rising sign )

People with a Taurus ascendant enter life slowly and steadily. They don't rush. They plan, build and work systematically to achieve their goals. However, they can become lazy, or they want things to stay the same even if they no longer have a purpose or meaning.

Scorpio Descendant - Partners and compatibility
When you have a Scorpio Descendant, your relationships are marked by strong, intense emotions. Jealousy and possessiveness can be at the root of many relationship problems. The sign of Scorpio pushes these people to examine their souls and find the hidden motives and underlying causes of their behavior. They can't be content with superficial illusions, and a relationship with their partner forces them to get rid of old habits.

If you have a Taurus ascendant, your partner may seem too passionate or mysterious, and you may feel that he's trying to manipulate you. Don't be afraid to let him get close to you, but don't give up your influence. If you're looking for a partner, be prepared to accept devotion and mutual obsession. The cause of your difficulties in finding a partner is not your appearance, but your mistaken doubts about your worth that are hidden underneath.
