Sigmund Freud Bio

Sigmund Freud (/ˈfrɔɪd/; [ˈziːkmʊnt ˈfʁɔʏt]; born Sigismund Schlomo Freud; May 6, 1856 - September 23, 1939) was an Austrian neurologist and the father of psychoanalysis, a clinical method of treating psychopathology through dialogue between a patient and a psychoanalyst. Freud was born of Galician Jewish parents in the Moravian town of Freiberg, in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Freud qualified as a doctor of medicine in 1881 at the University of Vienna, then carried out research on cerebral palsy, aphasia and microscopic neuroanatomy at the Vienna General Hospital. After obtaining his habilitation in 1885, he was appointed doctor of neuropathology and became an affiliated professor in 1902. In creating psychoanalysis, Freud developed therapeutic techniques such as the use of free association and discovered the transference, establishing its central role in the analytic process. Freud's redefinition of sexuality to include infantile forms led him to formulate the Oedipus complex as the central tenet of psychoanalytic theory. His analysis of dreams as wish fulfillment provided models for the clinical analysis of symptom formation and repression mechanisms, as well as for the development of his theory of the unconscious. Freud postulated the existence of a libido, the energy invested in mental processes and structures that generates erotic attachments, and a death drive, the source of compulsive repetition, hatred, aggression and neurotic guilt. In his later work, Freud developed a far-reaching interpretation and critique of religion and culture. Freud lived and worked in Vienna, where he opened his practice in 1886. In 1938, he left Austria to escape the Nazis, and died in exile in the UK the following year. Psychoanalysis remains influential in the fields of psychology, psychiatry and psychotherapy, as well as in the human sciences. As such, it continues to provoke extensive and hotly contested debate about its therapeutic efficacy, its scientific status and whether it advances or undermines the feminist cause. Nevertheless, Freud’s work has permeated contemporary Western thought and popular culture. In the words of W. H. Auden’s poetic tribute at the time of his death, Freud had become "a whole climate of opinion / under which we lead our different lives";

Moon in Gemini

Sun in Taurus

Asc in Scorpio

Sun in Taurus

Because the Sun has returned to Taurus, you are about to experience a time of power and renewal that is heading your way. Since the energy of Taurus, which is known for being stable and rooted, is being brought out and enhanced at this time, it is time for you to shine. Taurus is a sign that is regarded to be grounded and solid. A better sense of connection to your core ideas, your own self, and the things that offer you serenity and stability is something that you could experience as a result of this. You will be urged to strengthen your innate patience and endurance, as well as your capacity to find joy in the seemingly small things of life that are still significant, as a result of this transit. In most cases, at this time, your attention shifts to the things that are actually essential to you, such as the accomplishment of your own personal goals, the satisfaction of your comfort, and the guarantee of your safety. There is no better time than the present to strengthen the foundations of your personal life, your professional life, or your financial circumstances. During the time that the Sun is in your sign, it acts as a reminder that adhering to a plan is crucial to attaining success over the long term, and it motivates you to keep working toward reaching the goals that you have set for yourself. If you design things in a manner that is both planned and cautious, there is a greater likelihood that you will achieve success. Because of this, rather of only beginning change, you will be able to turn your goals into something that is substantial and will last for a long time.

Moon in Gemini

You have a unique combination of being grounded in reality and having a strong desire to learn more because you are a Taurus and the Moon is in Gemini. Comfort, patience, and the capacity to reassure others are highly valued traits of Tauruses. Gemini and the Moon are in charge of your emotional inner world. It is inquisitive, loves to talk, and is constantly looking for and hearing new information. This combination might produce a strong internal dynamic. Your Taurus side likes a safe and reliable routine, while your Gemini Moon is constantly searching for new activities and is never satisfied. If you feel as though you are being pulled in two different directions, you may become very patient and a little confused about your feelings. Your mind is constantly attempting to determine how you are feeling, even if you seem composed and uninterested. All things considered, this mixture is also very powerful. Your Gemini Moon gives you a mental outlet that you really need and that will help your Taurus personality grow. In addition to your construction skills, you are an inquisitive learner who can adapt to various situations while on the go. Your proficiency and dependability are demonstrated by your ability to think quickly without losing patience.

Mercury in Taurus

Because the patient and grounded Taurus sun finds its intellect in the solid and pragmatic sphere of Mercury in Taurus, you are a person of unwavering determination and a truly limitless sense of purpose. Your entire body is a huge and powerful source of energy, and you have a strong belief in the vision you have for yourself. You are among the most driven and intensely focused individuals in the zodiac due to your double-earth sign. Your capacity to regulate your thoughts and take appropriate action can be viewed as both a strength and a weakness. You are a fiercely loyal and protective person who will do whatever it takes to keep those who are important to you safe, in addition to having a deep emotional depth that corresponds with your need for control. However, this remarkable vitality has several significant disadvantages. Because you may choose to keep your emotions to yourself in order to protect your fragile inner world, the double Taurus may make you incredibly stubborn and prone to inactivity. You might require emotional patience because you might struggle to regulate the intensity of your feelings. You may find yourself prone to stagnation in an attempt to protect your powerful inner landscape. This is because you might feel like the world is too much for you. Finding inner peace begins with acknowledging your emotions and letting them change you. If you find healthy ways to express the intensity you feel, whether it be through art, a creative outlet, or a strong, dependable relationship with a loved one, you might learn to navigate the depths without being overwhelmed by them.

Venus in Aries

With the stolid, steady-Taurus sun deeply entrenched in Venus (the heart) in bold, aggressive Aries, it means those born under this planetary placement have a “love-style” that is both dynamic and passionate as well as a source of change. Your surface is a comfort-seeker, as it searches for stability in all things, while you live out a world of relationships characterized by fiery passion and bold act on.
This is a tension that makes for an irresistably beautiful dynamic. Your Taurus sun is trying to build a secure existence, and a solid platform for a partner. But your Venus in Aries drags you into a realm of wild connections, springily love and a need to be (or find) the hero. This enables you to experience not just the sensual depth of human connection, but express your affection with boldness and bravery, protectively…never passively.
The true power of this combo is to be able to love with soft strokes, and a ruthless heart. Your Aries heart gives your Taurus’s down-to-earth nature a compelling mission, and you’re that daring advocate for the underdog and mediator who offers limitless support without becoming emotionally smothering. You are attracted to relationships that have a feeling of adventure, with just the right touch of fearlessness – shared passions and an iron-clad loyalty bond you’re in for life.

Mars in Libra

As the grounded, patient Taurus sun aspects an assertive Mars in the graceful, harmony-seeking area of Libra, your actions are a beautiful mix of practical comfort and intellectual harmony. Your surface self wants comfort and security in all things, but your inner motivation is a passionate desire for partnership and justice – as well as a romantic, harmonizing way to get what you want.
This is a lovely and interesting tension. Your Taurus sun craves to create a safe, comfortable life as much as possible. But your Mars in Libra tugs you into a realm of physical perfection, pragmatic goals and an ongoing quest to make things better. The good news is not only to feel what the sensual depths of human connection must offer – but you get someone who neatly can express your energy in a very reliable, protective and loyal manner.
Your strength here is the ability to follow your inner guidance and take action quietly with determination. Your Libra motivator fills your Taurus with deep meaning and a centered base. You’re attracted to partnerships that feel expansive and aspirational, based on shared spiritual ideals, a fierce loyalty. Your vitality depends on an environment of reciprocity and ongoing adventure.

Jupiter in Pisces

With the down-to-earth, grounded Taurus sun encountering its luck and expansion in Jupiter located in the imaginative, empathetic landscapes of Pisces; your already natural sense of growth will filter through a lens pierced with endless compassion and unflinching spirituality. But deep down within, your pleasure principle is motivated by a strong desire for empathy and imagination along with an expansive spiritual approach to growth.
This tension makes for a thrilling and beautiful pull. Your Taurus sun is in the mood to create a safe, cozy life for itself. But your  Jupiter in Pisces draws you toward a world of deep passion, transforming missions and everlasting quests to reach the very core of things. And in doing so, you can really feel that sensual lingerie at the depths of human connection and unrestrained expression of a good quality very trustworthy protective faithful man.
The real strength of this pairing is in your ability to follow your intuition, but not become swept away by a tidal wave of emotions or feel that things will never turn out the way you want them to. Your Taurus's stabilizing nature is given depth and purpose by your fishy drive. You’re attracted to relationships that feel expansive and optimistic, based on shared spiritual beliefs and a stubborn commitment. You flourish in an environment of reciprocal respect and continuous exploration.

Saturn in Gemini

As your patient and grounded sun in Taurus realizes that it's life lesson isn't all about the fast-talking intellect of Saturn in Gemini as much as you learned to love (or at least respect) quick wit and communication (you secretly - or not so secretly want to be able to keep up), it was really encouraging the deeper part of yourself connected with longing for stability. Your physical, outer self is the comfort seeker in all things, while your inner motivator longs for intellectual stimulation, a lighthearted frivolity  and a bold and courageous way to construct life.
This is a wonderful and interesting tug. Your Taurus sun yearns to create a secure life and find its comfort and safety. But your Saturn in Gemini leads you to a realm of concrete objectives and reality-based action if only so that you can relentlessly keep turning over every stone. So, you can not only experience the sensual depths of a human connection here (and oh how much fun it is!!!), but know that if you do express your energy in such a way we are remarkably reliable, fiercely protective and extremely loyal.
What you need to rely on is this dynamic picking up the moment you start feeling something’s not right and doing what needs to be done with resolve. Your Taurus awakens a sense of purpose and puts the foundations down in your Gemini drive. The partnerships that appeal to you are those that feel expansive and hopeful, based on spiritual shared ideals and a fierce devotion. For you, your energy functions best in a place of equality and endless searching.

Uranus in Taurus

A person with their Taurus sun and a Uranus in Taurus is akin to an established farmer who must also play the part of a revolutionary visionary. At your core, you are committed to creating and accomplishing something: a successful existence based on hard work, discipline and structuring. But your life lesson, from Uranus, is to give those relationships balance, structure and deep transformation. This combination generates a strong tension of interest between your muse for deep connection with that sense and an equally significant need to investigate just the facts, ma’am.
This double-Taurus position makes you the natural-born builder of success, with an unwavering sense of what is right and fair. You are not here simply to feel things; you are here to enact a system of equity and justice that will endure. Your purpose is to create relationships and communities from respect, fair dealing not sentimentality.
But this intense emphasis on teamwork brings a daunting challenge in its wake: Learning to be make quick decisions without consensus. You might be someone who requires external validation all the time, and sometimes if someone challenges your creative idea, you can become indecisive. What will give you the peace inside is to trust that your work is enough, and you don’t need validation from others to prove your worth.
The purpose of your life is to direct all that powerful longing for unity into a social or creative achievement that survived the test of time. And when you do the personal work to lead with integrity and emotional maturity, your genius will not just shine—it will become a light for others seeking their own greatness.

Neptune in Pisces

If your sun is in Taurus and Neptune is in Pisces, you are a down-to-earth artist who has a determined way to take dreams out of the ether and give them concrete form. You are known by your calmness and perseverance, as you remain prepared to build a life of comfort and security. This is working in combination with Neptune in its home sign so you have a very deep intuition and spirituality. That dynamic tension between your desire for practical outcomes, and a strong, visceral draw to the aesthetic and mystical is both potent and maddening.
This position means you are more than a builder; you are an inspired one. Your job is to follow your most primal intuition and fight for something that feels like it’s in your soul. The problem is how to balance your practicality with that trade mark hyper-sensitivity. Your lesson in life is to discover how to trust your gut without it overpowering your security. Your gift is to focus that relentless intensity toward something beautiful, that assists others.
The way to that life is to learn how to become a courageous creator and a chieftain of the collective. You will leave behind not only the trappings of consumerism but a world shaped by objects created with hands and hearts. Once you find the way to listen to your personal voice, your light will not only shine—it will be a beacon that others can follow who seek their own kind purpose in service of compassion and decency.

Pluto in Taurus

Pluto’s entrance into Taurus is a one in a lifetime shift — and it lands in your 1st house of self, appearance, and how you present yourself to the world. Translation? This is your personal rebirth. Over the years, Pluto will utterly transform what you think of yourself and how others regard you. You going in one end of this transit and you’re not the same individual who will be walking out the other side.
This is deep, powerful energy. You’ll begin to feel like versions of yourself — roles, identities, even the way you wear clothes and hold your body — no longer fit. You will shed your skin, in pieces, sloughing off the old like a snake, who leaves behind what no longer is real. Occasionally, this can feel intense, even uncomfortable — Pluto won’t let you hide. It burns off delusion until you stand stripped down to your raw undeniable truth.
Those around you will see the change. You will be more magnetic, more dominant. You’ll manifest different new relationships, opportunities and challenges — all mirroring the new power you are claiming. The trick is to go with the changes, not against them.
By the time Pluto has moved through Taurus, you will have completely remade yourself. You'll have a sense of self-worth, personal power, and an inner strength that no one can shake. This is not just transformation — this is the onset of your truest self.

Sun in Taurus 16°19

The sign of Taurus confers on those born under it a calm and patient nature, as well as a sense of appreciation for the beautiful and pleasant things in life. People born under the sign of Taurus are often quite introverted and like to keep their distance, even from their best friends. However, the reason for this is not their arrogance, but their inability to talk about their problems with anyone.

People born under the sign of Taurus are very conservative, which is reflected in their behavior, dress and lifestyle. We can't say they're opposed to everything modern, but they insist on quality materials, perfect design and, above all, values. This also includes the fact that these people need a sense of security to be happy, and will use anything to help them feel that way. They know the value of things and possessions and go to great lengths to obtain them, because they also want their children to enjoy this security. If these people seem selfish, it's wrong, because they are very modest themselves, but they are driven by the idea that their family should get the best. Emotional and family support is also important to them, and they take good care of their children and are attentive to older family members without feeling that they are making sacrifices.

At work, these people are very precise and reliable. Because they know what they have to do, they don't let laziness, their other characteristic, get the better of them. People born under the sign of Taurus don't insist on doing sports. They may go for a hike, at the end of which is a rare artistic monument, accessible in no other way. Only family, artistic experiences and good food are worth the effort.

As people born under the sign of Taurus are born under the dominion of Venus, they have a highly developed sense of art, and many people born under this sign are active artists, from singers to architects.

These people care about their reputations, and even if they don't like their work, they will fulfill their obligations satisfactorily. They can concentrate on their work so they don't needlessly waste time on something they consider necessary for themselves: reading a book, seeing an exhibition or taking a walk in the park. But they're not just dreamers. They know the value of money and how to use it in a practical and prudent way.

Moon in Gemini 14°31

The Moon in Gemini manifests a need for change and spontaneity. Security lies in reflecting on your feelings and sharing them with others. You can be talkative, and you speak with skill and ease. This ability can be used in literature, journalism or consulting. You can correctly predict a person's mood, but don't ignore deeper emotional motives. You have an innate ability to keep a cool head, but beware that a cold heart can discourage others. It's important to harmonize thoughts and feelings. You have the ability to get to know many people easily, but it's harder for you to maintain a few solid friendships.

Ascendant in Scorpio 7°26'

Ascendant (rising sign)

People whose Ascendant is in Scorpio need to fight against the dark and destructive forces in their lives. For some, this power can also come from within, in the form of jealousy, envy or lust for power. The dark, hidden things of the soul must come out. This can be reflected in works of art, for example.

Taurus descendant - partners and compatibility
While Scorpio has to fight, attack and change things, Taurus can be patient, down-to-earth and has the ability to store things away. You should try to acquire these characteristics if you have a Scorpio ascendant.

Your partner may initially be attracted by your lively, irresistible style. But later, he may be unsettled by what's hidden inside you and not know whether he wants to be under your influence. Your ability to get under your partner's skin and wound him in his weak spots can lead him to harden towards you, or even leave you. Your strong shell and fear of showing your sensitive areas can drive a wedge between you. Don't be afraid to bare your soul and trust your partner. You need a stable, conservative relationship that will bring you comfort and satisfy your desires and values.
