Alan Turing Bio

Alan Mathison Turing OBE FRS (/ˈtjʊərɪŋ/; 23 June 1912 – 7 June 1954) was a pioneering British computer scientist, mathematician, logician, cryptanalyst and theoretical biologist. He was highly influential in the development of theoretical computer science, providing a formalisation of the concepts of algorithm and computation with the Turing machine, which can be considered a model of a general purpose computer. Turing is widely considered to be the father of theoretical computer science and artificial intelligence. During the Second World War, Turing worked for the Government Code and Cypher School (GC&CS) at Bletchley Park, Britain's codebreaking centre. For a time he led Hut 8, the section responsible for German naval cryptanalysis. He devised a number of techniques for breaking German ciphers, including improvements to the pre-war Polish bombe method and an electromechanical machine that could find settings for the Enigma machine. Turing played a pivotal role in cracking intercepted coded messages that enabled the Allies to defeat the Nazis in many crucial engagements, including the Battle of the Atlantic; it has been estimated that this work shortened the war in Europe by as many as two to four years. After the war, he worked at the National Physical Laboratory, where he designed the ACE, among the first designs for a stored-program computer. In 1948 Turing joined Max Newman's Computing Laboratory at the University of Manchester, where he helped develop the Manchester computers and became interested in mathematical biology. He wrote a paper on the chemical basis of morphogenesis, and predicted oscillating chemical reactions such as the Belousov–Zhabotinsky reaction, first observed in the 1960s. Turing was prosecuted in 1952 for homosexual acts, when such behaviour was still a criminal act in the UK. He accepted treatment with DES (chemical castration) as an alternative to prison. Turing died in 1954, 16 days before his 42nd birthday, from cyanide poisoning. An inquest determined his death as suicide, but it has been noted that the known evidence is equally consistent with accidental poisoning. In 2009, following an Internet campaign, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown made an on behalf of the British government for "the appalling way he was treated". Queen Elizabeth II granted him a posthumous pardon in 2013.

Moon in Libra

Sun in Cancer

Asc in Gemini

Sun in Cancer

All of their greatest attributes, including their feelings, talents, creative abilities, are brought out by the Sun while it is in the sign of Cancer. Respecting their inner world, recognizing and satisfying their needs, and expressing themself are all crucial things to do at this time. They have the ability to transform their sensitivity into a strength rather than a weakness, and they are moreover more in tune with what it is that they want. In addition, throughout this period, their innate empathy and intuition are at their peak, which will assist in making intelligent choices and managing their relationships. When the Sun is in Cancer, it is simpler to be truthful and free of innovative ideas. Through writing, painting, or even just by doing pleasant things for other people, they have the ability to communicate their emotions in a manner that is significant to both them and the people around. Taking care of themself and giving some thought to how they are feeling can be beneficial in maintaining a state of equilibrium; nevertheless, they should be mindful of mood swings and the possibility of being too sensitive.

Moon in Libra

When the Moon is in Libra for a Cancer, they are a special combination of watery emotion and airy harmony. Because Libra is the Libran sign, this is the case. This is because they are a water sign. The most significant elements of their identity as a Cancer are the home, nurturing, and a deep emotional bond between them and their family. However, their emotional inner world, which is ruled by the Moon and Libra, is looking for balance and needs a calm and harmonious environment to feel secure. It's possible that these two elements working together will ultimately result in an interesting internal dynamic. Their Cancer nature places a high value on emotional isolation, and they are highly sensitive. Their Libra Moon, on the other hand, is trying to understand and rationalize feelings. As a result, there may be a significant conflict between the need to manage conflict and the desire to just feel what a person is feeling. Despite their seeming shyness and sensitivity, they have a rather cold temperament when it comes to handling conflict. However, because of its combination, this combo also provides a substantial amount of power. Their Libra Moon provides the social and cognitive structure sensitive Cancer nature requires to function well. To operate effectively, this foundation is required. By using the depth of their feelings, they can not only show others that they care about them, but they can also make life and the lives of those who are important to them more peaceful.

Mercury in Cancer

With the tender loving, but possibly a bit overbearing sun in Cancer telling your mind what's up, you are a human of deep, deep feelings and tremendous loyalty to others. And you are a deep, well of feeling and beliefe in your own vision.
This dual-water placement can make you ton of the most compulsively action-oriented people in the zodiac. “ You do not just think, you get to work applying those thoughts with an iron hand, which can be a gift and especial burden. Balancing your need for emotional safety is the deepness of your soul and you are fiercely loyal and protective to those you love, stopping at nothing to protect them.
But this huge power is also fraught with challenges. You can be tremendous-ly moody, overly sensitive and defensive as the double Cancer holds everything close to your chest, protect-ing the tender inner world. Perhaps emotional patience is a challenge for you, since the depth with which you feel can be hard to handle. The world can be heavy, and you may be susceptible to burning out to shield your mighty interior terrain.
Your middle way is to allow your emotions to liberate you. By learning healthy outlets for the intensity you feel (artistic expression, some kind of outlet or a deep trusting connection with a loved one) — you learn how to navigate the depths without getting swallowed by them. Your mental health depends on finding a way to get these mighty feelings out there, so that you can use your exquisite gifts for healing and bonding as few others even dream of.

Venus in Gemini

When the nurturing Cancer sun inhabits the sweet and sensitive body of Venus in Gemini, you are someone whose love is a million emotional conversations. Outer You desires emotional security and a deep nurturing bonding; your Inner World of Relationships is exploring relationships on an intellectual or lighthearted level.
This is a tension that creates a beautiful, fascinating pull. Your Cancer sun craves building a secure nest and finding solace in the familiar. But your Venus in Gemini is dragging you into a world of friendship-based relationships, really good conversationalists and wanting things that are not just one flavor. This in turn lets you feel the emotional heights of human attachment but to do so in a form which is questioning, flexible, and never proprietary.
The true appeal of this partnership is that you have the capability to devote your heart and your brain to love. Your Gemini heart gives your Cancer emotional sensitivity an intellectual purpose, you're a natural nurturer and can use your words to feed others souls. You are attracted to relationships that fairly crackle with enthusiasm and a new approach, based on equality of ideas and a bond so tight it’s unbreakable – your love flourishes in the air of mutual respect, and a little hearty admiration goes a long way.

Mars in Leo

With the soft, nurturing Cancer sun in support of the ego-slash-drive planet Mars in Leo, what you do steps from a place of emotional security and dramatic self-expression. Your exterior desires comfort and nurturing intimacy, yet your internal motivator is based on a strong need to be admired, romanced, or for you to take the bull by its horns with confidence in securing anything you desired.
You generate a lovely and intriguing tension. Your Cancer sun longs to construct a safe nest and snuggle up with the familiar. But your Mars in Leo draws you to a world of theatrically expressed use of power, bold action and perpetual hustle to become the star. This is in turn so you can not just have an intellectual experience of the depth of connection with another human, but to also get to do your energy out here at somebody who can be tremendously reliable and protective and devoted.
The real potential here is your ability to follow your own instincts and really make something happen on a low key level. Your Cancer‘s emotional sensitivity is deeply meaningful and well rooted thanks to your Leo drive in this relationship. You are attracted to relationships that feel expansive and optimistic, based on mutual emotional safety and fierce loyalty. Your energy flourishes in the absorptive environment of fast mutual respect and never-get-stale curiosity.

Jupiter in Sagittarius

As the kind, nurturing Cancer sun expands for better luck in the free-range, optimistic world of Jupiter in Sagittarius, your organic quest for growth becomes a journey of emotional depth and endless adventure. Your outer self is longing for comfort and a profound, supportive connection at its core, yet your inner drives are intense in wanting truth, freedom and a grand adventure of expanding the horizons.
This is a very intriguing and beautiful attention clash. Your Cancer sun would like to make a secure nest and find comfort in the familiar. But your Jupiter in Sagittarius draws you into a realm of deep passion, transformative ambitions and an unrelenting search for the absolute heart of things. You have to be able to not just feel that humanity but express your energy in a manner that is fussiest, most trustworthy and committed.
When it comes to living in this combination, (Sun Sign and Moon), there’s real horsepower behind the engine if you can realize your prime motivation which is taking action on your instincts as well as orchestrating anything which needs to happen in a calm and productive manner. Your Sagittarius motivation gives a sense of mission to the more emotional nature of Cancer and keeps it practical. You’re attracted to relationships that seem large and optimistic, based on common spiritual beliefs and a steely loyalty. You feed off an environment of respect and never-ending curiosity.

Saturn in Taurus

When your kind and caring Cancer sun centers its energy of life lessons in the determined, resilient world of Saturn in Taurus, your innate ability to empathize becomes infused with a strong sense of purpose and a burning desire for personal security. Your outer persona wants to feel emotionally safe and establish nurturing, deep connections, but your inner motivation centers on a strong need for financial security; the kind that solid practicality provides – planting stable roots into the ground with their feet when fashioning their lives.
This tension is a beautiful and interesting tug. This sun yearns to nestle into something secure and seek comfort in the familiar. But your Saturn in Taurus is, like, nope, must still gravitate toward material goals, real-world action and finding a way to the core. This not only enriches an emotional connection between humans, it lets you pour your energy into a form that is very loyal to you, very protective of the people and things who matter most to it.
The real strength with this combination is your capacity to instinctively sense how to make things happen acting on them, plus you have a quiet persistence. Your Taurus drive imbues your Cancer emotional sensitivity with a strong sense of purpose and solid base. You’re attracted to relationships that seem stretchy and positive, united through like-minded spiritual values and a fierce commitment. Your energy does well in an environment of respect and a feeling of discovery at every turn.

Uranus in Aquarius

Someone with Cancer sun and a Uranus in Aquarius is a homebody who must be a visionary leader. You are in your most basic nature, a mother and protector creating an emotional home where everyone feels loved and safe. But the heart of your life’s lesson (brought to you by Uranus) is about building balance, structure and a deep shift in relating. This blend presents an intriguing tug-of-war between your emotive, nurturing side and the strong desire to get at the “truth” of any matter.
Your Cancer sun wants to be the quiet caretaker, the person who offers comfort and deep emotional connection. Uranus In Aquarius, though, is here to show you that true security comes with the self-awareness that arises from making a conscious effort at bringing hidden things out into the open within your relationships. It compels you to stand up for what is right, even when it’s uncomfortable to do so, and be clear in setting boundaries that allow you to give without losing yourself. The task is to learn how to be a sensitive empath who is also unyielding in pursuit of justice.
The real strength of this placement is turning your emotional depth into an organized, tangible force for good. You have the potential to be a silent leader, a strong voice who spreads peace among your communities and beyond. Your challenge is to employ your great emotional intelligence to create equitable, trusting relationships and communities. You have the tools to reconcile thorny emotional territories, all while digging in your heels at what you believe is right.

Neptune in Cancer

When you have your Cancer sun and Neptune in Cancer, you are a dramatic healer who is meant to learn using your inspiration of compassion. Your nature has been formed from a young age to create a safe emotional haven anywhere you go due to your need to care for others. This is intensified by Neptune, which seeks to push you into a new, emotionally-driven reality and intuitive, nurturing vision. The tension between the twos is the conscious desire for emotional security and powerful, subconscious appeal toward an emotional revolution. Having those bodies in this position does not only make you a caregiver but also a spiritual architect. Your purpose in life is to express your deepest artistic and personal feelings into something tangible and motivational for a new generation. Your challenge is to learn how to harmonize your sensitive nature with the need to express complex ideas. Your lesson is to trust your intuitive vision without becoming emotionally overwhelmed or burdened with the sense of duty toward everyone else. Your strength is to turn your unwavering compassion into something exceptional that dares social boundaries. Your fulfillment is found on the path of the courageous nurturer, not a passive one. Your legacy will not be your personal relationships but a shared reality you helped achieve. When you find your vision, your genius will not only shine but create a lighthouse for others.

Pluto in Gemini

Pluto in Gemini moves to your 12th house, Cancer – the secret domain of your mind, psyche, and ending; one of the most obscure positions for Pluto; it can feel like progressively wandering into dangerously deep inner waters, where true transformation remains mostly unseen. Have you been afraid of your fears recently? Childish?  You might be getting more acquainted with your dark side and losing told parts of your reality, ghosts of the wounds you believed to be long-healed. Secrets –  yours or others’ – might come out. There will be moments of precisely this type when it might seem like you have to dive away from the world you feel yourself being ashamed of. However, it is no punishment. Between your Pluto and the 12th house lies a pure cleansing descent. Dreams and your intuition, your spiritual practice, and aloneness – however creatively populated – become  powerful resources.  By the time Pluto walks out of Gemini, you will have experienced your spiritual rebirth. What was darkness converts into an invisible support.  This is your cosmic cleansing, Cancer – the one that comes in before new life.

Sun in Cancer 1°13’

Cancer is ruled by the Moon, which gives people born under this sign great emotional sensitivity. They are thus often reserved and shy. Their reasoning, thinking and behaviour are very dependent on their mood, and this is the reason why they like to depend on people with strong personalities and choose partners they can lean on.

These people love their home, their parents and their family, but their romantic dreams and mood swings are responsible for the fact that despite their inner shyness they cannot remain faithful to their beloved partner. It is not their fault and they do not try to be mean; it's their character that is influenced by the Moon that causes emotional ambivalence, which is reflected in their relationships. They are the ones who suffer the most by it and they like to enrich their soul with new and new suffering.

People born under the sign of Cancer are often very artistic, and many of them know how to communicate their rich emotional cues with a brush, by word or through singing. Even though they are believed to be easily influenced by others, they actually influence their surroundings and they enrich other with their charming emotional personality.

When their characteristics are considered, they might seem to be impractical in life, but the reality is that when it comes to money matters and living standards, they know how to secure them, and their behaviour displays a sense for reality. They can get their way and ensure comfortable life for themselves and for their family, because pleasant, cosy home and family welfare are very important for their sensitive mind and restlessness.

They are peaceful and shy, but they are also very intelligent and smart so they can increase the value of accumulated experiences. This implies that if they ever find out that their timidity arouses sympathy and willingness to comply with their wishes, they know how to imitate this personal characteristic because acting is also one of their artistic talents.

Rather than of anger, their repertoire consists of lamentation and regret; and rather than aggression they will show agreeable helplessness. In their essence they are introverts who do not like to attract the attention of others, but this is what makes them even more fascinating.

Moon in Libra 16°34’

Person with Moon in Libra is looking for safety in a relationship, has the need to make somebody happy and wants to have a rich social life. However, later they must find themselves and things that satisfy them must prevail. They also have a strong need for balance and harmony. They have a desire to keep things "nice" rather than venturing into fundamental questions in order not to disturb the peace. Relationships can then be shallow or volatile. You must learn to share your good and bad feelings with your partner. Do not be afraid to be who you really are, despite what is expected of you. Use your innate talent to make things pleasant. You can influence the atmosphere around you with your pleasant voice, musical abilities and your comforting presence.

Ascendant in Gemini 5°39’

Ascendant (Rising Sign)

Gemini Ascendant is associated with curiosity and interest in how things work. Versatility and adaptability are your advantages, but these traits can lead to fragmentation of interests. These people can do everything, but they do not excel in anything. They do not like to choose only one thing if they have more options. Their mission is to disseminate information. If the horoscope has a water or earth character, then this person needs to develop analytical and objective thinking. If it is of airy and fiery nature, then the mind is very restless, you understand everything very quickly, but only by the head, body and emotions remain untouched.

Sagittarius Descendant - Partners & Compatibility
The best partner for people with Sagittarius Descendant may be one that has a clear viewpoint and helps you maintain direction in order not to get lost in your maze of thoughts. A partner can show Gemini Ascendant purpose of a journey, which you are unable to see.

If you have Gemini Ascendant, you may feel that your partner lectures you, that he knows everything the best and that he thinks he is better than you. Your mission is not to be afraid to show your real desire for knowledge, to set some goals and have warm-hearted understanding for others.
