Neil Peart Bio
Neil Ellwood Peart, OC (/ˈpɪərt/; born September 12, 1952), is a Canadian-American musician and author, best known as the drummer and primary lyricist for the rock band Rush. Peart has received numerous awards for his musical performances, including an induction into the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame in 1983, making him the youngest person ever so honored. He is known for his technical proficiency and stamina. Peart grew up in Port Dalhousie, Ontario (now part of St. Catharines). During adolescence, he floated between regional bands in pursuit of a career as a full-time drummer. After a discouraging stint in England to concentrate on his music, Peart returned home, where he joined a local Toronto band, Rush, in the summer of 1974. Early in his career, Peart's performance style was deeply rooted in hard rock. He drew most of his inspiration from drummers such as Keith Moon and John Bonham, players who were at the forefront of the British hard rock scene. As time passed, he began to emulate jazz and big band musicians Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich. In 1994, Peart became a friend and pupil of jazz instructor Freddie Gruber. It was during this time that Peart decided to revamp his playing style by incorporating jazz and swing components. Gruber was also responsible for introducing him to the products of Drum Workshop, the company whose products Peart currently endorses. In addition to being a musician, Peart has published several memoirs about his travels. Peart is also Rush's primary lyricist. In writing lyrics for Rush, Peart addresses universal themes and diverse subject matter including science fiction, fantasy, and philosophy, as well as secular, humanitarian and libertarian themes. All five of his books are travel-based non-fiction, though they diverge into his life and these subjects as well. Peart currently resides in Santa Monica, California, with his wife, photographer Carrie Nuttall, and daughter, Olivia Louise. He also has a home in the Laurentian Mountains of Quebec, Canada, and spends time in Toronto for recording purposes. On December 7, 2015, Peart announced his retirement from music in an interview with Drumhead Magazine, though bandmate Geddy Lee suggests Peart's comments are taken out of context.

Sun in Virgo
During the time when the Sun is in the sign of Virgo, a person who is born under this sign gets the feeling that the universe has bestowed upon them a magnifying glass that allows them to study every aspect of their existence. Now is the time to learn to enjoy the pleasure that comes from doing things properly, as well as the advantages that come with having structure and clarity. They are naturally skilled in planning, problem-solving, and system improvement now that their analytical mind and cosmic energy are a great match for each other. Having said that, they are also skilled at enhancing existing systems. It is conceivable that their knowledge will be useful to relationships; yet, they must be careful not to become overly critical of the connections they have. By bringing their routines, daily habits, and health to the forefront of attention, they have the opportunity to begin afresh and make the most of their life in ways that are not only healthy but also meaningful. If they have a stronger desire to learn new knowledge, better talents, or make a positive contribution to the community in which they live, it is feasible that they desire these things more than they did before. There is a subtle power that comes from being trustworthy and helpful, and during this time period, their efforts are more evident than they would be in any other circumstance. Having said that, it is essential to establish a balance; they should avoid being so preoccupied with the particulars that fail to appreciate the beauty that lies inside the defects. In order to make their Virgo Sun season appear to be both abundant and lively throughout the full season, they should embrace their inherent meticulousness while at the same time giving room for spontaneity.
Moon in Cancer
A Virgo with the Moon in Cancer is one of the most interesting combinations. This is because it combines earthy practicality with watery desire. They really want to help other people when they're a Virgo. They also focus on analysis and pay close attention to details. These are the things that make them who they are. Their inner world, which is ruled by a Cancer Moon, is very emotional and sensitive. It needs to feel safe and like it belongs in order to work properly. This is because their Cancer Moon controls their inner world. This combination, on the other hand, is not only beautiful but also very powerful. Their Cancer Moon adds a lot of emotional depth to their analytical Virgo nature, which is very important. They need this. If they use their exact ideas, they can organize their life and help other people in ways that are both real and helpful. They are a very trustworthy person and a pleasure to be around because they have a rare mix of intelligence and kindness. They have a natural talent for helping people they care about in a practical way and making them feel calm. They can do this without any trouble. Even though this is the case, there are some problems that come up with this combination. Their probably tend to overthink and worry because their Cancerian sign makes them very sensitive and their Virgo sign makes them want everything to be perfect. This disagreement could be what makes them worry and think too much. They might also find that their mind and heart are at odds with each other. They might already know this. They might become emotionally guarded because they want to help but are afraid of getting hurt instead.
Mercury in Virgo
With the hyper-thoughtful, service minded Virgo sun in your mind-directed communication sector for the first 3 weeks of the month joining your ruling planet, analytical grounded Mercury already travelling through this part of your chart, you are a person of ridiculous mental energy and an insatiable-desirous-for-betterment force to be reckoned with. There's an ocean of logic to you, and you have a firm belief on your own vision. This two-earth configuration is what makes you one of the most pressingly focused and action-oriented people in the zodiac. You’re not just a thinker; you put your thoughts into action with an iron fist, which is both a boon and a burden. Your love for order is complemented by an immense emotional well, and you are a steadfast person with many layers who will go to any lengths to shield those you care about. But such enormous power is not without its difficulties. The double Virgo will make you very critical and defensive, while you keep your emotions close to your chest to guard the soft core of your sensitive inner world. Emotionally, you have a lot of passion and sometimes this can be hard to deal with. The world can be a lot, and you might find yourself tending to burnout for the sake of your powerful inner landscape.
Venus in Libra
When the thrifty, service-oriented Virgo sun meets the love-centric Venus in Libra (a sign that is all about grace and harmony), your craving for perfection translates into an obsessive need to be with “the one. Your outer self enjoys scrutinizing and refining, but your inner world of relationships is motivated by a strong need for equity, fairness and reciprocity. It is a tension that makes for an appealing and interesting tugging. Your Virgo sun is all about righting wrongs and establishing a strong base for those you love. Your Venus in Libra, however, wants to take you to a place of shared love, social elegance and always working toward harmony within a partnership. That way, you don’t just understand the intellectual sides of human connection but manage to truly feel them as well and communicate your love with something delighfully pleasant, loyal & thoughtful. The latter two are cliché as fuck and while not related to the line, loving with a thinking head and bleeding heart is what makes the combination so powerful. Your Libra heart forms an emotional partnership with your Virgo’s mind, creating a bond of mutual interest on the basis of what inspires both. You are attracted to relationships that resonate with grace and equilibrium, fueled by a strong love affair between your minds and deep commitment, and you love best when in an environment where respect is mutual and admiration reciprocated.
Mars in Sagittarius
When methodical, service-oriented sun meets its motivator in free-spirited mars (the ruler of action) in outgoing Sagittarius and your 6th House of Work and Routine, you take the most responsible path toward maximum fun! Your surface personality loves to dissect and fine-tune but your underbelly of motivation needs truth, freedom, grandness in how you go at things. This contrasts in a beautiful way, leading to an interesting pull. Your Virgo sun is here to fix it all and lay the foundation for a dedicated partnership. But your Mars in Sagittarius is dragging you out into a universe of deep desires, transformative ambitions and searching toward the very truth for all that feels real. This means that you get to experience not only the intrigue of human connection, but also the expression of your energy in a very dependable, protective and loyal manner. What is powerful about this combination then, is your instinctive ability to push forward and get things done with a singular quietness. Your drive is what connects them to their Virgo’s methodical way of analyzing things and it provides a deep-seated purpose and passionate foundation. You’re attracted to unions that are expansive and hopeful, based on shared spiritual ideals and a fierce loyalty. Your vibe grows in an environment of respect and the forever new.
Jupiter in Taurus
As the meticulous, service-focused Virgo sun strikes it rich with growth and expansion-seeking Jupiter in patient and grounded Taurus, your organic sense of expansion is blended with practical purposeful growth and a sense of confident solidity. Outer you, is all about the analyzing and perfecting; your inner world of motivations is to experience material comfort, stability and a practical approach expansion- sensual. This makes for a lovely, intriguing tension. Your Virgo sun needs to heal everything and create a solid foundation for a partner. But your Jupiter in Taurus draws you toward a universe of deep passion, transformative intentions and everyone’s heart. This means you get to not only experience the intellectual heights of human bonding but also share your energy with somebody who is rock solid, protective and faithful. Your Taurus need to be is completely grounding and provides the Virgo's logic an emotional anchor. You are drawn to relationships that feel like they can expand and hope, based on shared spiritual ideals and a fierce loyalty. You shine when respect is mutual and newness perennial.
Saturn in Libra
Someone who has the Virgo Sun and a Saturn in Libra, for instance, is basically a person who (theoretically) conducts experiments but also needs to become an advocate. At base, your instincts are to scrutinize, fine-tune and bring order out of chaos so that every detail is just as it should be. But your life’s grand lesson, courtesy of Saturn, is to build a greater balance, structure and fairness in your relationships. It’s a fascinating tug-of-war between your methodical, perfectionistic nature and deep yearning for objective justice. Your Virgo sun is the master of details, a practical force who reigns victorious in the sleek execution. But your Saturn in Libra is here to remind you that there will be no real winners unless you are willing to invest time and energy building healthy partnerships. It compels you to speak up in the name of what’s good, even when you are uncomfortable doing so, and helps you find common ground with others so that together you can build a life of intellectual fellowship. The trick is learning how to be both an antagonistic perfectionist and a relentless advocate for justice. The real magic of this position is structuring your raw pragmatism into something that the world can see and use to create good. You might be a silent force, a great leader who will bring peace in your social groups and outside. You know that your task is to use your great intellectual hunger in order to involve people, communities based on respect and justice. You are ready to navigate complex social environments, but you hold a line in the sand for what you know is right.
Uranus in Cancer
Someone with their Leo sun and a Uranus in Cancer would be like the star performer who has to become a nurturing director. Your basic instincts are to be a performer and star, the charismatic leader and center of attention. But Uranus is here to teach you the great lesson of your life, which is how to make a balance, build structure and bring profound change into each relationship. That combination forms an interesting power struggle in your own mind: between the longing for personal glory (for which you have to advocate!) and a deep need for objective inquiry. Your Leo sun wants to be the star of the show, all-consuming force who can celebrate in a standing ovation. Yet, your Uranus in Cancer wants you to learn that championing means having the guts to address the unsaid and untold within your connections. It makes you stand up for what is right, even when it feels awkward, and draws clear boundaries that allow you to give of yourself without losing your self. You can best harness the energy of this placement by turning your fiery bravery into purposeful, tangible good. You can silently lead in ways as your convicted voice commands peace within and among your social circles. You are here to exert all that fabulous assertiveness; and build from it, healthy relationships and extended communities of respect and profound trust. You are also uniquely able to negotiate complicated emotional terrains, all while drawing a hard line in the sand for what you know is right.
Neptune in Libra
The precision and the analytical mind set, with down-to-earth approach in life is what a Virgo Sun would provide. Virgos have a natural penchant for details, organization, and betterment (for both themselves and their surroundings). This same cautious energy is given a relational and idealistic flavor when Neptune is placed in Libra. Neptune in Libra – sensitivity, empathy and the urge to harmonize bonds and social relations. This mix makes for a person who mixes careful analysis with diplomacy and intuition. With Virgo dealing with practical concerns and perfection, Neptune in Libra will inspire compassion for others, concern for justice and an appreciation of subtle social nuances. Such people may be attracted to careers in counselling, the collaborative arts, or creative activities where they are able to integrate mechanical skills with a unified picturesqueness. On a more profound level if the Sun in Virgo with Neptune – Libra combination continues further, life could be guided by Leitmotifs of perfectionism translated into altruistic vibes and idealism. They have the ability to see what works and provide solutions that balance function with harmony. In harmonious balance, this blend helps create a thoughtful, introspective and environmentally aware person - who can skillfully use precision and perception even in relationships to generate refined, truly holistic results both personally and at their desk.
Pluto in Leo
Pluto in Leo enters your 12th house, Virgo — the deep recesses of your subconscious and the spiritual world that exists between waking and dreaming are addressed during this time as well as inner turmoil you rarely reveal to others. For a sign that prefers clarity and order, this transit can feel like diving into the pool of emotional murk. Yet that’s precisely where the transformation occurs. This is a time of karmic clearing. Old fears, false beliefs and even self-sabotaging behaviors will rear their ugly head on you... insisting that you look at them. It may feel cumbersome at times — like you’re bearing invisible weights — but Pluto is here to help you release whatever has been keeping you down. Under this, energy comes into clarity in your intuition. Dreams might be more vivid and synchronicities more common, and you could feel a stronger attraction to spiritual life, meditation or therapy. Secrets — your own and others’ might also come to light, requiring you to confront reality instead of denial. It’s not about hiding from the world; it’s about reconnecting with your hidden world. When Pluto finishes his time in Leo, Virgo, you will not only find yourself at a greater place of peace than ever before but with a much deeper connection to your soul’s mission and confidence in your own navigation system. You will understand that power doesn’t come from being in control, but by surrendering and having faith.
