John Quincy Adams (/ˈkwɪnzi/; July 11, 1767 – February 23, 1848) was an American statesman who served as the sixth President of the United States from 1825 to 1829. He also served as a diplomat, a Senator and member of the House of Representatives. He was a member of the Federalist, Democratic-Republican, National Republican, and later Anti-Masonic and Whig parties. In his biography, Samuel Flagg Bemis argues that Adams was able to "gather together, formulate, and practice the fundamentals of American foreign-policy – self-determination, independence, noncolonization, nonintervention, nonentanglement in European politics, Freedom of the Seas, [and] freedom of commerce." John Quincy Adams was the son of President John Adams and Abigail Adams. As a diplomat, Adams played an important role in negotiating key treaties, most notably the Treaty of Ghent, which ended the War of 1812. As Secretary of State, he negotiated with Britain over the United States' northern border with Canada, negotiated with Spain the annexation of Florida, and drafted the Monroe Doctrine. Historians agree he was one of the greatest diplomats and secretaries of state in American history. Adams was elected president in a close and controversial four-way contest in 1824. As president he sought to modernize the American economy and promote education. Adams enacted a part of his agenda and paid off much of the national debt. However he was stymied time and again by a Congress controlled by his enemies, and his lack of patronage networks helped politicians eager to undercut him. He lost his 1828 bid for re-election to Andrew Jackson. Adams is best known as a diplomat who shaped U.S. foreign policy in line with his ardently nationalist commitment to U.S. republican values. More recently, he has been portrayed as the exemplar and moral leader in an era of modernization. During Adams' lifetime, technological innovations and new means of communication spread messages of religious revival, social reform, and party politics. Goods, money, and people traveled more rapidly and efficiently than ever before. Adams was elected as U.S. Representative from Massachusetts after leaving office, serving for the last 17 years of his life with far greater acclaim than he had achieved as president. Animated by his growing revulsion against slavery, Adams became a leading opponent of the Slave Power. He predicted that if a civil war were to break out, the president could abolish slavery by using his war powers. Adams also predicted the Union's dissolution over the slavery issue, but said that if the South became independent there would be a series of bloody slave revolts.

Sun in Cancer 18°57’
Cancer is ruled by the Moon, which gives people born under this sign great emotional sensitivity. They are thus often reserved and shy. Their reasoning, thinking and behaviour are very dependent on their mood, and this is the reason why they like to depend on people with strong personalities and choose partners they can lean on.
These people love their home, their parents and their family, but their romantic dreams and mood swings are responsible for the fact that despite their inner shyness they cannot remain faithful to their beloved partner. It is not their fault and they do not try to be mean; it's their character that is influenced by the Moon that causes emotional ambivalence, which is reflected in their relationships. They are the ones who suffer the most by it and they like to enrich their soul with new and new suffering.
People born under the sign of Cancer are often very artistic, and many of them know how to communicate their rich emotional cues with a brush, by word or through singing. Even though they are believed to be easily influenced by others, they actually influence their surroundings and they enrich other with their charming emotional personality.
When their characteristics are considered, they might seem to be impractical in life, but the reality is that when it comes to money matters and living standards, they know how to secure them, and their behaviour displays a sense for reality. They can get their way and ensure comfortable life for themselves and for their family, because pleasant, cosy home and family welfare are very important for their sensitive mind and restlessness.
They are peaceful and shy, but they are also very intelligent and smart so they can increase the value of accumulated experiences. This implies that if they ever find out that their timidity arouses sympathy and willingness to comply with their wishes, they know how to imitate this personal characteristic because acting is also one of their artistic talents.
Rather than of anger, their repertoire consists of lamentation and regret; and rather than aggression they will show agreeable helplessness. In their essence they are introverts who do not like to attract the attention of others, but this is what makes them even more fascinating.
Moon in Capricorn 18°39’
You see safety in being useful to the society and you look for justification in the outside world. You may underestimate what you want from yourself and for yourself. Shyness may be accompanied by resentment of the fact that others ignore you. You may feel that you are useless or unloved. Do not seek approval from the outside, it will not get rid of your doubt and it is harmful to you. You have to trust your inner values, otherwise it may happen that you succumb to external pressures. The need to cope with adverse reality since childhood may give you the ability to "survive" difficult periods. Your talent for business can bring you success, but you may be missing some carefreeness.
Ascendant in Libra 3°21’
Ascendant (Rising Sign)
Libra prefers tasks that are well thought out, prepared and based on objectives and correct assessment of the situation. Trying to take into consideration opinions of others can slow the person down and manifest as hesitation, indecision or opportunism. These people usually prefer if somebody makes decisions for them. It is important to create a strong system of values and norms which can be followed, because this enables easier decision-making.
Aries Descendant - Partners & Compatibility People with Libra on the Ascendant seek perfect relationships that are harmonious and pleasant. But they can become critical if something does not match their expectations and force their partner to adopt their opinion.
If you have Libra Ascendant, you have Aries Descendant. Self-centered and assertive partner might force you to make concessions. However, if your partner is unfair and demanding, you must learn to insist and require that your partner respects certain values in order to ensure that you have a balanced relationship. You should not always wait to see what happens; you should openly voice your opinion and be prepared to engage in a conflict.
You both should feel as people with equal rights in your relationship. Encourage healthy competition in order to become aware of your capabilities and values.
