Maria Rita (Portuguese pronunciation: [maˈɾiɐ ˈʁitɐ]; born September 9, 1977, in São Paulo, Brazil) is the performance name of Maria Rita Camargo Mariano, a Brazilian singer. She is the daughter of famed pianist/arranger César Camargo Mariano and the late Brazilian singing legend Elis Regina and sister to Pedro Mariano and music producer João Marcelo Bôscoli. Her namesake is family friend and famed Brazilian rock legend Rita Lee. Maria Rita majored in Latin American studies and communications at New York University, and worked as a journalist at a magazine for adolescents. Maria Rita began singing professionally at the age of 24, although she had wanted to sing since she was 14. Her first CD, Maria Rita, launched her career symbolically, with the first cut on her first album, A Festa (The Party), being written by Milton Nascimento, the legendary Brazilian singer-songwriter whose career was launched by Maria Rita's mother, Elis Regina, when she began to sing his songs to the national Brazilian audience. The CD went platinum and was a hit worldwide, making her an international star. Her mother's reputation as one of Brazil's greatest female singers has been a major influence in Maria Rita's life although for years she respectfully avoided the songs identified with her mother; she had said that she was always conscious of being the only daughter of a great singer. Despite having her mother's vocal DNA, she has developed her own jazzy vocal style, with singers like Ella Fitzgerald as her model. For her 2013 album Redescobrir she was finally persuaded to perform and record songs her mother had sung. She won the 2004 Latin Grammy Awards for Best New Artist in the General Field, Best Song in Portuguese (“A festa”) and her debut album Maria Rita won the Best MPB (Musica Popular Brasileira) Album award for that year. The world hit that “Segundo” turned out to be, granted her in 2006, two additional Grammys Latinos – Best MPB Album and Best Brazilian Song with “Caminho das Águas” authored by Rodrigo Maranhão – and over 50 shows abroad, with full public and reviews acceptance in the Montreux Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival, Irving Plaza (NY), San Francisco Jazz Festival, among others. Maria Rita was nominated for the BBC Radio 3 Awards for World Music in 2008. On 28 June 2008, Maria Rita performed in London for the first time, with a production by Tuba Productions and JungleDrums Magazine.

Sun in Virgo
During the time when the Sun is in the sign of Virgo, a person who is born under this sign gets the feeling that the universe has bestowed upon them a magnifying glass that allows them to study every aspect of their existence. Now is the time to learn to enjoy the pleasure that comes from doing things properly, as well as the advantages that come with having structure and clarity. They are naturally skilled in planning, problem-solving, and system improvement now that their analytical mind and cosmic energy are a great match for each other. Having said that, they are also skilled at enhancing existing systems. It is conceivable that their knowledge will be useful to relationships; yet, they must be careful not to become overly critical of the connections they have. By bringing their routines, daily habits, and health to the forefront of attention, they have the opportunity to begin afresh and make the most of their life in ways that are not only healthy but also meaningful. If they have a stronger desire to learn new knowledge, better talents, or make a positive contribution to the community in which they live, it is feasible that they desire these things more than they did before. There is a subtle power that comes from being trustworthy and helpful, and during this time period, their efforts are more evident than they would be in any other circumstance. Having said that, it is essential to establish a balance; they should avoid being so preoccupied with the particulars that fail to appreciate the beauty that lies inside the defects. In order to make their Virgo Sun season appear to be both abundant and lively throughout the full season, they should embrace their inherent meticulousness while at the same time giving room for spontaneity.
Moon in Cancer
A Virgo with the Moon in Cancer is one of the most interesting combinations. This is because it combines earthy practicality with watery desire. They really want to help other people when they're a Virgo. They also focus on analysis and pay close attention to details. These are the things that make them who they are. Their inner world, which is ruled by a Cancer Moon, is very emotional and sensitive. It needs to feel safe and like it belongs in order to work properly. This is because their Cancer Moon controls their inner world. This combination, on the other hand, is not only beautiful but also very powerful. Their Cancer Moon adds a lot of emotional depth to their analytical Virgo nature, which is very important. They need this. If they use their exact ideas, they can organize their life and help other people in ways that are both real and helpful. They are a very trustworthy person and a pleasure to be around because they have a rare mix of intelligence and kindness. They have a natural talent for helping people they care about in a practical way and making them feel calm. They can do this without any trouble. Even though this is the case, there are some problems that come up with this combination. Their probably tend to overthink and worry because their Cancerian sign makes them very sensitive and their Virgo sign makes them want everything to be perfect. This disagreement could be what makes them worry and think too much. They might also find that their mind and heart are at odds with each other. They might already know this. They might become emotionally guarded because they want to help but are afraid of getting hurt instead.
Mercury in Virgo
With the hyper-thoughtful, service minded Virgo sun in your mind-directed communication sector for the first 3 weeks of the month joining your ruling planet, analytical grounded Mercury already travelling through this part of your chart, you are a person of ridiculous mental energy and an insatiable-desirous-for-betterment force to be reckoned with. Saturn in Leo

You’re not just here to figure out how to make things work perfectly, you’re here to build a masterpiece that we have respect and admiration for. But your Saturn in Leo has you working with a layer of theatrical ambition that propels you to direct that particular kind of methodical energy toward something larger and more grand, the creative project. This is not just about producing a perfect product, but about creating something of lasting value, useful and beautiful. This is the genuine power of this position, to take your analytical approach and turn it into a conscious, mindful creative agenda. The trick is learning how to be perfect and a brave leader. You’re taught that absolute power derives from being a virtuoso of your art while following through on a singular creative vision. Your avenue to career satisfaction here is the knowledge that you’re being called upon to funnel your precision through a creative medium and get noticed. And so your legacy will be of someone who was capable of maintaining their hands on the wheel while bringing to bear a raw pragmatism and disciplined self-expression.
Uranus in Scorpio
Imagine someone with their Virgo sun and a Uranus in Scorpio, this is an artisan who has to evolve himself into the wildest poet. Your instincts to analyze, perfect and order each detail — until it’s just right. But the great lesson of your life, from Uranus, is balance and structure and deep transformation in relationships. This pairing leads to an interesting tug-of-war between how meticulous, perfectionistic you are versus a deep desire of the heart for some kind of objective inquiry. Your Virgo sun desires to be a master of the details, a practical force that prevails on perfect execution. But your Uranus in Scorpio is here to show you that true safety comes when you have the courage to face what’s under the rug in your relationships. It makes you confront what’s right, even if it doesn’t feel quite good, and to draw clear boundaries so that before-hand said giving extends in both ways without one side losing oneself. The trick is how to be a total hard-ass perfectionist, and also the biggest civil rights cheerleader on earth. Even if you are a silent leader, your strong voice is needed to bring peace everywhere you go. It is your job to apply that enormous intellectual curiosity towards constructing relationships and communities based in respect, trust. You are perfectly primed to plow through turbulent emotional terrain, always maintaining a finite line drawn in the sand about what you feel is right.
Neptune in Sagittarius

A Virgo Sun brings precision, attention to detail, methodical thinking, and an analytical grasp of life. Virgos are detail-focused, systematic, and motivated by a desire to perfect themselves and their environment. Neptune in Sagittarius adds color to this primarily prudent and beneficial mix with a spiritual and visionary element. Neptune in Sagittarius inspires hope, curious mindsets, and the desire to seek new perspectives and a higher reality for a reflective, perfectionist Virgo sun. Virgos, who focus their attention on the tiny things, gain a love for exploration and presumably a deeper approach to their work. This one more likely desires to pursue writing, teaching, or traveling, combining minute detail with the visionary big picture. On a deeper level, Virgo Sun with Neptune in Sagittarius can combine analysis and practicality with adventurous and intellectual openness. These people can translate their insights about the world and its processes into sources of knowledge.
Pluto in Libra
That’s where Pluto in Libra falls for you, Virgo — 2nd House shit, the home of money, values and self-worth. This is a placement that forces you to reassess both where your security lies, and how much of the value that you’ve been placing upon yourself comes from within and not expressed through what we get back from the external world. While transiting here, financial issues may feel charged. You could find yourself involved in power struggles related to money — perhaps you share finances with someone, work at a business partnership or have dynamics with a spouse. The rug can be pulled out from under you, leaving you to reconsider your relationship with material success. Pluto isn’t in the room to take away for the sake of loss — it’s here to help you re-erect on a stronger, more authentic foundation. Then at a deeper level this placement speaks to us about worth and value! As a Virgo, you tend to base your sense of worth around usefulness, skill, or necessity. Pluto in Libra wants to know: What do you become when you no longer have to prove your worth through service or being perfect? It erodes old tales that tell you your worth is dependent on how much you give, fix or achieve. Relationships can be mirrors in the process. You may see themes of dependence, control or imbalance work out around money or joint resources. The trick is to see where you have overextended or given too much for the sake of peace. Claiming your power here teaches you how to respect both your independence and the need for equilibrium.
